Where all our scouting reports end up......what is the point even employing scouts at Everton?

The other slight fly in the ointment with replacing Brands is that his successor has no money to spend.

….I doubt there is even the slightest intention to sack Brands. He’s been promoted to the Board, he’s just signed a new deal & his position keeps the status quo; Benitez & Moshiri bring in the players they want.

For those who want a system where the Manager manages transfers, we pretty much have one.

To be devils advocate., from the outside it looks like Brands has been undermined to an extent by having to please incoming managers (ie. Allardyce, Ancelotti, Benitez) and get rid of historic transfers.

His successes have probably been Mina, Godfrey, Digne, Gray.

Gomes was wanted by the fans. Gbamin could be seen as unlucky. Kean was an understandable gamble imo.

Delph was a poor signing.

Iwobi was a very overpriced signing but may not be quite as bad as he is made out.

Also makes you wonder out of those managers how much say he had in their appointments, I would imagine none and they were all down to Moshiri that includes Silva and Koeman.
