….probably mentioned, but for those that aren’t aware Lewis Gibson has joined Sheffield Wed on a season-long loan. That must take him close to the end of his contract.

In theory we actually have a better squad than last season with Gbamin fit, Kean back and Gray and Townsend added. Everton are at their best when the chips are down. Remember the season after Rooney left?

Just knowing we were going to lose at home to Sheffield Utd was not what I expected with Ancelotti in charge.

They also won’t get away with jogging around aimlessly with Benitez like they did with Ratcelotti.

There is enough quality there to build upon.

Arguably, we're probably slightly better off when you consider the impact the likes of Bernard had.

With no fight and the same lifeless tactics. It was a horror show.

Why not try something different? He did have alternatives, but chose not to use them. Miserable.

this time last season everybody was buzzing about signing Allan, Doucoure and Rodriguez, they are all still here.

we have added two natural wingers to the squad, but just because they aren’t Leon Bailey and didn’t cost 30m each everybody is showing signs of manic depression.

Will be more organised and the players will need to perform.
