Doubt we would sell both, have no idea about the source either.

I've said it before, but the Mina situation has to be decided one way or other. If he isn't going to extend his contract, now is the right time to sell while he retains value.

Every journalist connected with Everton says we can buy without the need for sales though.

Of course we need to sell in order to keep our wage bill down and reduce losses, and probably stay compliant, but all the evidence (apart from one random Dutch journalist) points to selling not being a pre-requisite of buying this summer.

Happy to accept that point and hoping that’s the case.

Thing is, just playing devil's advocate, it's not even hard to assume that our jokers do actually think James and Mina out to bring McNeil in is just fine.

We'll get rid of our only goalscoring/creative midfielder that isn't currently suspended, and our best defender, and get in a winger who doesn't score many or create many (and no, I'm not going to say he's a world beater based on that game he had against our rabble last season)

I assume they want a starting CB on lower wage than Mina. We basically massively overpay all our squad
