Seen nothing new on Winks to us on Twitter other than Fab saying we were interested a week ago, seen plenty of crying from the Kult about him based on something one of their ITKs said on there earlier though

This is the bit he seems to forget, Camavinga has been linked to everyone from Man U and the RS to Real and Bayern but oh no according to Zat he is going to turn down the CL and bright lights to sign for 10th place Everton.

I’d have said the same but it’s always worrying when Fabrizio pipes up.

Fabrizio does seem more reliable than most ITKs on Twitter. But a lot of what he does is pass on info from other people. And he does get stuff wrong.

As with any ITK the key is to get the “info” out first. People always remember the correct shouts but forget the wrong ones.

We may well be in for Winks but I wouldn’t get too wound up about it based on a comment on a stream/podcast. He hasn’t tweeted about it yet.

He's a water carrier, which is fine, you need them in certain set-ups - the problem is he's not a particularly good one.

So I agree with your assessment of him - unremarkable, keeps a game moving etc. - but apart from one thing; the "good" part. He's not particularly good at it. He's Mr. 5/10, every week. Average strength, pace, passing, everything.

I called him a "nothing player" the other day, and that's what he is. The idea of him is fine, it's an unglamorous but required role in a team, but the reality of him isn't.

TLDR; he's more Phil Neville than Xavi basically.

We’ve already a team full of nothing players, I think Winks would be another mistake.

he will never be a consistent performer at prem level.

Winks is the type of player that you look at and realise is a massive bottler. He would perfectly fit in here and I have no doubts we will be actively trying to sell him within 12 months.

I cant say ive ever paid attention to him as a player so i may be well off here, but wasnt Jorginho also up until recently considered to be a crab/not much use? It wasnt until Tuchel came in and placed the same level of importance in him to their formation (like Sarri and Mancini did/do) that ppl starting taking notice of what he brings?

It’s worth repeating what I said when the Winks link first appeared; if we have actual money to spend and spend it on Winks rather than a right back someone needs sacking immediately.
