I am not as naive as you think, I know of Mendes's game at Wolves and the they have not done too badly out of it. But it's up to Everton and NOT Mendes if he thinks he will have the influence that he has at Wolves. Again if he pushes a few talented players towards our club, all good and well, as long as they are the right type, the type that were desperate for, quick, skillfull and be able to run with the ball. I'm sick of all our slow, one paced players, that our recent managers and Brands have brought in. I wouldn't mind a Jota, a Netto, etcetera at Everton i don't know about you and if Mendes can bring them and we need them and Brands and Co can't then so be it.

This is what I originally quoted (see below), nothing at all was mentioned about the young Brazilian lad from sporting.

It's going to be open season for us signing no mark Portugese players on ridiculously inflated fees and wages when Santa takes over.

We already have one absolutely hopeless Portuguese player , the others may as well join the circus.

Never heard of the lad from Lisbon so commited the mortal sin of watching a youtube video of him. Looks quick and can beat a man, will probably take a while to adjust to pl but looks good

I think the idea is to get them in before they are playing every single game for these Euro clubs...before the price is doubled or trebled.

just 1 example, look at Neto at Wolves, I dont think he had played 20 senior football games. They took the gamble because he had some raw attributed that could really push him on to shine.

It might just be me, but I seem to remember him being a better mover in his 1st season. But he has declined. As you say, this guy seems quick.

…yep, good point about his loan spell. The weaknesses in mobility and pace were not as obvious.

i think Gomes is supposed to be lots about ball retention & starting moves off. This lad seems to have an additional dimension with his running power. Let’s not forget, Gomes is also very easy to run beyond.
