Rather than head into the bland, homogenised and uniform town centre might I recommend Sir and his dining partner instead talk a short 10 minute stroll the other way over the railway bridge, past the Sally Army hostel and head into the Fingerpost cultural quarter for something a little less touristy....

As you can see it's conveniently next to a chemists and I do believe there's an off-license over the road.

Very conveniently located just a short walk from St Helens Tech.I blame my youth obesity problem solely on this establishment, wonderful
