Yes Godfrey and Doucoure were very good yesterday. I'm glad they showed up and put in very strong performances.

It's not a good day to be an Evertonian no because my suspicions going back to December that we're crap have become pretty clearly founded.
Godfrey and Doucoure have been arguably our two best players over the course of the season, but you have repeatedly maintained that neither are good enough for the squad. I don't see how you can possibly look at their respective bodies of work over this season and suggest that their performances in a 1-0 home defeat against Sheffield are among their best.

The fact that the squad is paper-thin has been apparent from the moment the summer 2020 window closed. You aren't some kind of oracle mate.

Now, tell me more about how we'd win more games if we binned off Ancelotti and gave Gomes and Iwobi more playing time. In fact, forget that - give me 500 words on how we need Martinez, McGeady and Enner Valencia back.

When you say fine do you mean he looked handsome whilst passing a ball sideways? Because the lad is meant to be an attacking midfielder and he has more yellow cards for us this season than assists and goals.

My point was he would be better served in the Spanish or Italian league as his legs have gone since his injury. Even before he didn't really affect games bar keeping and recycling the ball .

No he's not?

Earlier i posted Kean+Mina+Keane would bring us close to £100mil.

Id actually say £85mil approx.

Then some other sales e.g bernard, kenny, iwobi etc should take us to £100mil and if were lucky enough to shift Gomes...over that amount.

£100mil from Moshiri and we can do a big rebuild.
Wait until those other teams you're buying from know that you have 100 millions plus available and you'll be lucky to be able to afford 2 top players at most...

Sign some players who actually care about winning games of football ,and players who want their teammates to show some fight and desire and won’t stand for lacklustre performances

Pickford
RB - CB - Godfrey - Digne
Doucoure - CM - Allan
RW - DCL - Richarlison

That's the minimum - but add another CF to that mix and ideally another wide player if we manage to somehow get shot of Bernard and Iwobi. Didn't put James in there as he can't be relied upon to be fully fit for the majority of the season. Pace, energy and determination the three key traits for any player coming in.

Godfrey and Doucoure have stunk all season aside from the opening stretch when James carried that 4-3-3 for Abdoulaye and the stretch at LB where Godfrey was a solid one dimensional fullback.

This is such a brutal takedown that i feel guilty laughing.

@Tree13 who do you fancy coming in at right back this coming window?

I posted earlier that after Hakimi (not likely), Aarons (doesnt seem likely now) and Emerson (why didnt we sign him a year ago)...theres not many young high potential players around.
As I've mentioned before I don't watch anywhere near enough overseas football to comment on the names often mentioned here. What is also quite odd (once you start looking) is that despite the heavy premium attached to top-tier attacking fullbacks, most prem teams have relatively low-key players there. Look at pretty much everyone below us in the Prem: who are their right backs? Yeah, I have no idea either.

You've been slating Godfrey and Doucs all season and NOW you say they had very strong performances. Both players had a hand in the opposition scoring
of course. You're a madman Big Oil.
