ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

That's no excuse. They should have had the balls to say 'thanks but no thanks'
just as other clubs did. So basically the defence is they put a gun to our heads?
Not good enough. Not good enough at all.
Is right. I am glad in many ways that Everton hadn't been put in that position. We'd probably be in the same position this morning as disgruntled legacy fans with the club shamefully back scrambling. It's a revolting situation to be in for the fans who are innocent in this and have been badly let down by their clubs.

This will be another emotional chapter in the poor socialist bastion of LFC. The club who has never spent a pound in its life and is everyone’s second favourite team. They’ve singlehandedly saved football yet again and Klopp and Hendo were at the front of it! Now they can move on to tackling the true issue of our time which is why has ‘Trent’ the world’s best player in every position been removed from the England squad (which lets face it is a bigger crime against football than the super league)

RS all over social media making out King Kenny, Hooray Hendo, and Plop Klopp have saved the day.

The media are making out that brave wickle Lidderpool stood up against those nasty rich people

It is almost laughable how this is being played out this morning. I mean, they are almost saint like ha ha

NEVER let them forget this. Remind them at every chance that they were involved in this greed

Lurkers, your team is filth

Genuinely reminds me of the Americans joining the war as it was coming to an end, and claiming "they" won the war.

All good coming out and saying "Hendo did this", "King Kenny did this"... where were your army of pundits, ex-players, players throwing the book at it, when it first came out?

Neville did, Ian Wright did, Nedum Onouha and Micah Richards did.... but no, Dalglish and Henderson waited until murmurs of a collapse took place and then whispered the cult phrase "You'll Never Walk Alone"....Lets forget about the not informing fans, players, staff.... because Liverpool won this on their own.

Divvies like that are on a hiding to nothing.

That club has been diminshed by this.

They'll have their media propaganda machine up and running for damage limitation, but they and Madrid were at the core of that plan to privatise football. There can be no glossing over that, and they cant claim any part in the plan's demise. Liverpool's playing side had that chance before and after the game at Leeds - they refused to take it, and their manager flung anti-cartel t-shirts out of the away dressing room and insulted people against the idea of a scab league.

Not one of their apologists in the media now believes that a BS projection of them as 'standing for something' will ever ring true again. They might try to rehabilitate that view, but this event has been seismic and historic, and football supporters will simply laugh any such rehabilitation out of town forever more.

I repeat: that club is holed below the waterline in terms of credibility. It never deserved that credibility in the first place given its disgusting history, but whatever they were able to revive and have built up for them is gone forever. No football person anywhere can ever take that club and its media army seriously if they try and sell them as a 'more than a club'. Those days are OVER.

Football knows who stood tall and who came out from behind the couch.

How were their players the first to speak out against it? I believe that was Leeds United, and then Liverpool players refused to back them by wearing the t-shirts while Klopp cried about everyone bullying them. They are a disgusting organisation, and that includes every single last one of their fans.
