Champions League revamp

yes but like the people who quit the Nazis in 1944 they should be treated differently to those who quit when Berlin fell
If Chelsea are the first to withdraw, I'd still punish them to some extent as an example to others who may consider this again: heavy fine, transfer embargo etc.

For the rest, I'd keep every option on the table in terms of sanctions because this needs to be crushed along with their perceived privilege and superiority.

While I doubt the relevant associations will do this because they'll not want them to be completely out of the fold, they need to face some consequences.

Talksport saying all of the esl clubs are meeting right now to disband the league

The reds and utd have crapped it knowing the book will be thrown at them if Chelsea or city jump first

No doubt Man City will be next. The RS, Man Utd and Arsenal will drag their heels over this for a while yet though. This little American clique aren't going to let this go lightly. Frankly Chelsea should still be punished for their part in this even if Abramovich has come to his senses (I suspect that both he and the Man City owners are more follows then leaders in all this). The premier league should make it clear, they get a point deduction (twenty being the minimum) if they come to their senses and back off right now, the longer they drag their heels this the worse the punishment gets.

If the ESL goes into full lawsuit mode against withdrawing clubs then Saudi City and Chelski could probably deal with it. The massively leveraged American owned clubs probably don't fancy it quite as much.

Barca apparently have come out and said they aren't joining unless the fans vote for it or something like that lol

It will end up being a great tournament between what? Real, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter, Liverpool and MU?
