Champions League revamp

Oh, I agree that the politics is corrupt. I was talking more about the game itself. At least the advantages there are more naturally inherent. Or used be before Qatar stack their team with naturalised Brazilians. Maybe we can give them Bernard.
It's money not politics that is corrupted.

Two things about this that I found weirdly impressive...

1. No swearing. To be that angry and not swear takes great control.
2. No spit on his camera lens. Again with that anger and proximity to the screen he has done really well not to splatter it.

He aint wrong like.
I turned it off. Because it’s faux rage. Why do people make these videos. How do they get themselves that wound up for them?

is it a piss take like? Is it a meme type thing I don’t get?

is it a way to show he’s a true fan?

Guardiola has made a show of Klopp today.

Comes out and in no uncertain terms says he is against it. Klopp spent 15 minutes whinging about their supporters, the t-shirts, Gary Neville and YNWA.
1000% - complete night and day to shippmann the sycophantic lickspittle.

I'm no lover of fraudiola but he was brilliant there, and he's gone after them big time.

I still say there will be some "bottling" / face saving statement saying "reluctantly the ESL, UEFA, & domestic leagues under uefa have reluctantly agreed to work together to find a long term solution for the good of the game.

but all guesswork for sure

I mean it's possible, but there's going to have to be a LOT of rowing back from a lot of people. It's also fair to say, they won't be occopying key seats in UEFA anymore as a result, or really setting any sort of agenda. It's feasibly possible, but I'd have to say extremely unlikely every side can move that much to even begin that process.

I thought Gary Neville was right last night to say, he could imagine owners sometimes pausing, but very few step back and go in the other direction.

The other interesting point in this, if it was a bluff (which I'm not sure it is) they've kind of lost their fold equity with this. Any sort of coming back to the table is going to be framed as a defeat for them. Any decent bluff would at least like to be seen they had done us a favour coming back. I just can't see how they would be able to present that. UEFA have called them snakes and cowards. So they've surrendered an awful lot of bargaining power and probably have less chips than before the announcement.

What I dont get is the 12 clubs have shown they have zero loyalty to UEFA so why are they trying to get them back?

Dont they realise 5+ years of big investment and CL qualification and the likes of Sevilla, Napoli, Everton etc would have the sort of power the likes of Spurs, Milan and Athletico currently do?

Kick them out and make it financially incentive to start developing the other clubs instead of kicking the can down the road.

If they let these 12 clubs back with no punishment and a bumper new CL deal they are utter disgraces and the rest of the teams from the domestic leagues need to be united in downing tools as they have all shown loyalty in condemning this ESL and in return potentially have been spat at in the face.

Now I’ve quoted it correctly.

Just think it’s bizarre, UEFAs way of punishing these sides, is by creating their own power grab, but the difference is, they’re in change.

Unless of course this is for sides outside of the ESL, in which case ye absolutely love to see it.
Its reducing the Super League to Europa League status. Clever. Divide and conquer. Only 4 of those 6 breakaway teams would be eligible via competition qualification.
However in Spain, Real and Barca who have domination of the league would be guaranteed to qualify.
This maybe about to become the most expensive game of musical chairs ever.

Rummenigge. The convicted tax doger
From my mate, City fan last night. This the general feeling?
View attachment 124723

Without a shadow of a doubt that's the general feeling. Infact it's the total feeling.
I know it counts for nothing but Wycombe, Macclesfield, York away in the old third division
and then this? The club has gone. It's done. We have been crapped on and the club are going to
have to accept that. As if they even care though?

@catcherintherye ahead of your reply - the other thing to add is that i expext some sort of agreement (truce) before the CL on Tuesday and with that in mind, this is the only outcome.

Where do UEFA turn if they have to pull their centre peices. Even back to the TV rights debate, the stations would be entitled to millions back

Yes I would go along with most of that. All I'd say is some sort of short term truce is very different to getting a medium term truce.

I still think there's a fair bit of equity in the-they get booted out camp.
