I don't think the players know what they want at this point. They just got blindsided with a massive change and a public outcry. Is it fair to have expected Liverpool's players to have been ready yesterday to put on shirts provided by the adversary?

I think it's self-evident that no one else is signing on until the dust settles a bit.

exactly, anyone who thought liverpool players would wear them shirts last night is naive

Someone with too much time on his hands has worked out we would have won the Alternative PL title 8 times.. making 17 Titles and, clearly, the most successful English league side of all time. Who even knew and, more to the point, what about all the extra Champions League seasons we've been missing out on?

If he's saying the players will point blank refuse to play in that competition, then yes - they could have worn t shirts in solidarity that simply said "football is for the fans" and "earn it"

Klopp trying to blag it as "how dare they imply we dont know you have to earn it" is an absolute nonsense, if that was the case, Leeds wouldn't wear them.

There are cultural, economic and political arguments in favour of the government getting involved. They will be least interested in the cultural or heritage argument, but the other two will move this government powerfully.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but I think this pushes heritage front and centre.

Classic Zlatan that... the beaky nosed tw@. No mention of how it will screw over fans, leagues, smaller clubs etc... instead its just him worrying about how its unfair he won't be able to play for his national team. Im probably being overly harsh but I don't care because hes the biggest tosser in football.

It'll be fake.

Shows how much of an absolute shambles it all is when a manager from one of the “founding members” is publicly seeking questions about how and why they’re in it on the clubs official Twitter account lol
