I don't think the players know what they want at this point. They just got blindsided with a massive change and a public outcry. Is it fair to have expected Liverpool's players to have been ready yesterday to put on shirts provided by the adversary?
I think it's self-evident that no one else is signing on until the dust settles a bit.

That is a player statement.. not a cryptic tweet. Yes he has had his career already and can speak from a place of really having nothing to lose but it’s important if the worlds biggest names say these. Just waiting on James now to say he chose the greatest club and will see out his career at the mighty blues!
There are cultural, economic and political arguments in favour of the government getting involved. They will be least interested in the cultural or heritage argument, but the other two will move this government powerfully.
Doesn't mean the 12 clubs signed up won't be able to field footballers mate.
When the anger fades, you'll get more and more Tuchel type replies.
Been that way for far too long.At some point the penny will drop that the power is with those teams, and not the Premier League.
Only government intervention/regulation can end it.
Classic Zlatan that... the beaky nosed tw@. No mention of how it will screw over fans, leagues, smaller clubs etc... instead its just him worrying about how its unfair he won't be able to play for his national team. Im probably being overly harsh but I don't care because hes the biggest tosser in football.

they'll be able to field mercenaries, hardly a 'super league'
