I honestly don't think DCL is cut out to be the striker we actually need as he seems to only be able to score specific types of goals in the box. He holds it up well enough, but he can't drive at defenders and shoot from distance. It's alright having certain players to create chances for him but we need a striker that can do all those elements if we're serious about getting into the CL one day. Not good enough.

What does he do in training?

Has stopped doing the hard work that made him dangerous. We’re clearly not going to start giving him tap ins again any time soon so he has to put more of a shift in.

I said months ago he's developed a taste for scoring but its resulted in him becoming more selfish and not doing more of the donkey work.

Him and Richarlison both at fault today but atleast Richarlison was getting on the ball DCL was largely strolling around didnt see him bust a gut once.

Some wont like it but the system we play someone like Ings who is more clinical is the type of CF we need.

Neither Richarlison or DCL offer that.

2 great chances tonight any good striker would have slotted. 1st one could either lift it over the keeper as the ball was bouncing up perfectly to do that or go round the keeper, may get a pen. 2nd one he's got the whole of the goal to go for but puts it straight at the keeper. No composure at all tonight and the rest of his game was poor.

I’m not sure how many teams in the top 10 he would actually start for? The goals he scored he had mostly great service, made nothing for himself. I don’t think he starts for many other teams each week.
