If your looking for someone to blame then I suppose Gomes is an easy target nowadays. Replay the build up and look at others that were also culpible for the goal

Allan had gone to the original man to try block and the scorer shakes hands with Gomes and says wait here while i score. Only one man could have stopped him, that was Gomes . I suggest you watch it back

At fault for the first goal. I mean it was better than his usual pathetic displays but ultimately he did nothing again. Rarely wins a tackle, doesn't set up chances. Doesn't score.
I have no clue how he makes the starting 11 on such a regular basis

What makes you see that mate? He doesn’t score or assist and defensively he is poor. We desperately need a midfielder who can create and chip in with goals. Gomes does neither.
