He had to drop him. He had no choice.
He'll go back to his kick & rush tactics.
Hoof the ball over the top and all start chasing it.
He's brought Milner in to try and create some energy in the side.
It's his last roll of the dice.

It's the hyperbole that gets me. Look there's a nuanced debate to be had with Kabak. One that says he's 20, he has potential, he can learna round better players etc. That it's a low risk move as he can be punted in the summer. That actually this might be a decent time to buy him, as he's having a dip and you can bring him back to confidence.

But any analysis has to start with the premise he's been woeful for the bets part of a year at Schalke. He was seen as a good prospect before, but not much else, and he's been a bit found out.

Maybe it comes off for them. Compared to Gomez, Fabinho, Henderson, Williams and Phillips anyone will probably look passable, but thats what it is.

Strange that every player has to be automatically world class. Cant just be potentially decent.
