In midfield Houssem Aouar, Eduardo Camavinga and Boubacar Kamara are the standouts for their age. Aouar and camavinga are more the running type and through balls into the channels, they play at speed and counter attack, they would be the ones unleashing Richarlison on the break, I saw Aouar play vs Man City and he held his own with the pressing and played through them well, passing it to the space as they closed down on him, haven’t seen to much of camavinga but for his age (18) he looks better than Davies and Gomes, plays fast football and loves to dribble, not the possession type really. Kamara is the opposite, better cover for the defenders, good interceptor and loves a long ball, he’s composed, if you give it to him, you won’t lose the ball, and he can pick passes like James, he’s my favourite all round midfielder out of them 3.

Aouar is also a very good player and could slot into midfield as our playmaker.

All 4 of them are decent, I suppose the 'out of reach' player seems to me Camavinga + also Aouar wouldnt join unless we were able to sell Sigurdsson and Gomes -- then it gives us the option of him and/or James. Seems unlikely to me.

Kamara and Guimaraes would be astute purchases i think and compete with Allan, Davies and Doucoure to 'complete' the midfield in terms of numbers -- with 2 of Gomes/Sigurdsson/James for the 3rd position in the centre.

I'd actually try for Camavinga first and if not then move to sign Kamara and Guimaraes.

Camavinga is a dream signing and I think we are perfect for him but he might not be perfect for us.

We are a great next step for him if we get into Europe. He would learn fast and has the potential of a world class midfielder.

However he's a £40/50m player but potential is potential. I think we might not be able to justify that price and that risk.

Aouar is the one for us

Think right back is our most pressing issue.

Talk of Aarons and Emerson is just stupid, both players between them have contributed 2 goals this season, we already have a defensive RB in Holgate, so buying somebody who cant attack would be beyond stupid.

A modern fullbacks job is to get involved in goals first and defend second.
A right back and a quality right sided attacking player would add balance to the side and remove the onus on Digne and Richarlison to do all the creativity.

It would be wonderful to see a front line that were fluid and able to interchange and link up around DCL.

If we signed Aouar then we'd have Sigurdsson, Gomes and James all competing with him for the central spot.

So we'd need to sell Gomes and Sigurdsson which seems unlikely.

Or just one of them and keep James on the right which then means we wouldnt sign a backup as we have Iwobi -- who is almost unsellable anything like the fee we paid.

I think we'd go with Camavinga, Kamara or Guimaraes as they'd be the natural competition for Allan, Doucoure and Davies.

We need a right-back, and his name is Denzel

Would do a job.

Know what you are saying but think sometimes you need to look beyond the stats. If you looked purely at stats Ben Godfrey wouldn’t be at Everton right now with the amount of goals conceded by Norwich. You would like to think if Norwich had some more decent attacking players his stats would look much more like those of a modern day fullback.

Everton I think will be interested if Norwich are thinking of selling, not only because Aarons is a good player but also because he is English and will be good for our home grown quota, especially if we can get rid of some of our current squad like Pickford and Kenny.

Anyway a new keeper, right back, dynamic cm and another forward capable of playing across the front 3 and we are a different team.

Norwich look likely to come back up, I would be shocked if they sell him.

Of course you should look beyond the stats, but I'm willing to bet most who say his name hasn't watched him much, nobody can tell me what hes even good at for a start.
