Lukaku is a good striker. But he could be a world class right winger. Rom cutting in to shoot off his left. Or making runs giving Hamez a choice of Richy Dom or Rom to feed. League winning attack.

...we have no real alternative to Gomes, a proper passer who looks after possession of the ball. It’s almost like a Quarterback role. Yep, we could do with somebody like Gomes who can run.

Yes after Allan and Doucoure the quality drops. Especially the pace

If Gomes gan get back to his loan spell form then thats fantastic and i'd keep him but yes we need a bit of a powerhouse but with quality on the ball.

Even his loan spell wasn’t what we need. He was tidy and could pass but he had no goals or killer passes.
If we play Allan and Doucoure we need another midfielder who can create and score.

But as an option he can be a quality one. As you say though, Allan, Doucoure, Gomes, James - thats a bit light.

Gylfi, Davies, Delph are like parts of 1 player and could do with being binned and replaced with 1 CM of real quality.

Nobody has seen enough of Gbamin to know whether he was quality before his injury, never mind after nearly one and a half years out. If he's that player then great, if not we need one

I’m on board... we need a keeper. Do what it takes, what it costs to get a class keeper... no team can trophies without one.

season de gea was unbeatable and took Utd single handedly to the title..

I feel we might need to sell one of our CBs for some good money and Invest. We can afford to let either Mina or Keane go and would get good money now.. can’t wait another season (deffo not for Keane) before value drops.

I would have put that to a RB but knowing we need a keeper now... actually.. sell Pickford (will also attract decent money) and keep Olsen as backup. I wouldn’t have Pickford as back up as he has more value than Olsen.

this is all thinking out loud... might change my opinion over the rest of the season
