So a mate and I were thinking about this idly yesteday. IN THEORY, 2 teams could play each other 10 times in a league year? We THINK that's the max but could we be missing one?

I think there is a crazy scenario where they could do 12. If both teams won CL/EL but were relegated, the next year they'd both be the the Champions League. If they both get to the playoffs for promotion that would be 2 more, no? So 12?

And they can't be the group stages together, so would knock ithose 2 out. But the Super Cup thing for EL and CL winners if another one.
