First time I went Wembley was to see The Who , AC/DC were on the bill as well. This is more my thing these days , from an album of AC/DC covers by Mark Kozelek

just joking, I can stomach AC/DC, they’ve written two undeniably classic rock tracks that will stand the test of time but status quo belong well and truly in the bin. Worst dad rock ever !
I am not a big Quo fan or much an AC fan , biutbboth bands can be credited with memorable classic hit songs with a huge following - Quo always known as the three cord band which was a myth ....vocals not as dynamic perhaps, but they survived like AC/DC with different line ups .....
It's sad that bands like them are not coming through nomwhere to play now etc no demand ......
Ritchie Blackmore once stated on about the many reunions Deep Purple had - it's pure nostalgia - nothing wrong with that, but no more great songs from the era- when they were a top band ........
At the end of the day their is a demand for reunions of great bands, but the underlying reason is money for the band members plus the joy of memories of any bands fans ....
Why ......because that type of music has died .....sad , but true .......
I remember seeing a rock documentary the backstreet venues to become famous as a rock band have all , but disappeared from the music scene for the past great lead guitarist, singers , etc to merge to break through plus is the demand for it out there ......not really the quote from the documentary years ago claimed rap crap would be the future ....
I don't listen to modern music , but the bands on live on Jules Holland seen very average musically imo....

Oh, they were had more reunions that I can remember - they admitted they had blown their income on drugs :D hence the need to get back on the road etc, but yes even though they had some big hits etc they sold a hell of a lot of records LPS etc - to me, they were more pop than rock - but they were classed as rock - not in the same league as ACDC....

Did you catch the Sky documentary of AC/DC lead singer interviewing top rock stars in the USA - it was great loved the one with Joe Walsh... a whole series was done if you missed it - it's bound to be out there on IPTV ?

Yeah, caught a few. He is a genuinely engaging bloke. Was fantastic as a Top Gear guest, and went Ferrari shopping with Chris Evans after he was on his radio show!

The Youngs? Less so.
