Come off it. This was Nkoukou’s chance and he’s completely taken it away to be some bizarre line-up.

The fella’s tactics have been highly questionable for at least six weeks now.

Its the same system we played last week. Its a system only being used due to 2 key injuries. The idea Gordon and Nkounkou should play every week is based on nothing other than hope they will become established players. And that will happen in time if they are good enough. Its a complete lack of objectivity to call out Ancelotti basically for changing the side due to injuries. He didn't ask for players to be missing !!

You could also though swap a left-back for a left-back.

Not swap a left-back for an attacking mid and a right-back for a whatever Davies is.

Young players need to be played to develop. Not even having the only it LB in the squad is just petulance.

Where's Niels gone? Can either Davies or Iwobi play LB/LWB? I love our club but I see this and just..... And Gordon? What's he done to be ditched? Not saying he was Johan Cruyff or anything but at least he had a pace of pace and purpose and a decent delivery from time to time. Feel very negative, but feel free to rinse me if we win 10 nil tho.

back 3 fine, middle 2 fine, front 3 great

whatever calamity of a left sided option, not good

Il be amazed if this doesn't cause us issues offensively and defensively as it's going to overcrowd the middle so much, everyone on the left will want to go right and our most creative player wants to go from the right to overloading the left.

Agree. You'd like to think the coaching staff have more knowledge than us on the players qualities etc. Was surprised to see Davies get the nod ahead of Delph though.

I am having a hard time with some of the stuff Carlo is doing at the moment. Don't get me wrong, it was clever of him to try the wing backs system against Fulham and even Iwobi played well. But why play two players massively out of position with Davies and Iwobi, when it could have been one with N'Kounkou?

N'Kounkou may not be as good as we all hope, but if you are going to give the lad a spin it is safer to do so as a LWB than a straight LB.

Once again, Carlo is neglecting youth for some very poor players and that bench is next to useless against arguably the fittest team in the league - where is the pace and energy?

Don't get me wrong, it may work brilliantly and I may have egg on my face, but I'm not convinced at all about the selections.

And whilst Carlo is undoubtedly the best manager we've had in an age, he is really starting to make some bizarre decisions.
