ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I have no idea how he wants them to "fix" it.

in terms of TV selections, you cant schedule a fixture for TV on a sunday, if they play the next Tuesday in CL; Likewise if a team plays Thursday in Europa league they cant play on the saturday after. It seems the Wednesday night to 1230 Sat is the big issue (one of many for klopp) OGS and now klopp have.

Seems a simple fix, if there is an appetite for it, just don't let BT pick the 2 Wednesday teams, or give them the right to move to Sunday 1230 twice a season etc.

But BT presumably pay a pretty premium to select the games they want for that slot.

Rather than blaming the broadcasters should he not be angry that the PL, which his board hold undue influence over, have sold the 1230 as a viable slot?

Like it's not broadcasters whove done those slots, it's the clubs. As usual hes spouting his mouth off, without seeming to think of the logic and fairness in what hes saying.

Didnt the bellend cry over the Crimbo fixtures when he arrived here? Didnt they then get the most rest when the games were staggered,if they dont like the TV schedule then dont take the money, the cry arsing teutonic tit

yes, along with the wind, the grass, the rain et al. On fixtures I think there are some salient points amongst the moans and the christmas fixtures are mad, not the amount of games, but the fact one team can play 3 games in 4 1/2 days and another 3 in a week is crazy.

But its not as simple the "game they want" though, for example if there was a north london derby next weekend, they couldnt pick it because Arsenal play Thursday.

re blame - it's not the TV companies fault, but I'd agree primarily the PL who structured the rights in such way.

I and most blues celebrated Van Dijk getting injured so we are both as bad as each other in that respect.

Wouldnt say many of their players are close to 30 like...pretty sure Alisson, Gomez , robertson, Arnold, keita, jones, jota, Fabinho are 20-25. Mane and Salah are only 28. Think it's only Milner over the age of 30.

Not too sure what Klopps moaning about though what else can be done. It's an unprecedented season injuries will happen to everyone.

They will probably just swerve the cups anyway as per usual
I don't know of too many who celebrated VVD getting injured.. didn't really care that he got injured but saying celebrating it, is a bit of a leap.

Well it is about "the game they want" as they choose the games they want from those available. What you are saying is there are some restrictions placed on them for teams playing on a Thursday but not on a Wednesday.

I mean theres obviously a question of whether Wednesday games should be exempt (and if you do that where do you draw the line) but again its not the broadcasters fault. There is a set of rules they work to, and the PL perhaps need to consider tightening the rules if people feel it unfair.

Unfortunately for Klopp that would involve a degree of introspection, so he wont be doing that, not when he can lash out at others who are not at fault for this alleged "mess". As each goes by he becomes more of a slippery, deceitful parody of himself.

yep - that is about it, but like OGS the week before, there is no coincidence that there is a coordinated shout about it. At times for sure he is the parody moaner, but on this I think on balance they are probably right.

I suspect you will see this and the 5 subs appearing over the next while. Nothing to do with Klopp. but a change to both makes sense

Unfortunately you're completely mistaken on most points here. Its almost entirely Kopites who laugh at people who get injured, or attack the ambulances taking them away etc. Nobody found the Van Dijk thing funny, we only wish him the best with his recovery.

As for players mentioned none of them areanywhere near 20, and Fabinho is 27, Keita will soon be 26, Alisson 28, Robertson is also well over the 20-25 range. So you're completely wrong on the players mentioned.

As you say Salah, Mane, Firmino, Matip, Wijnaldum, Thiago are all nearly 30 (28 and upwards). Henderson is well over 30 as is Milner. It was in the top 6 or 7 oldest squads last season and this year is just getting even older. It's no surprise the injury crisis they are having.

As a final aside, you can whack a couple of years on most of their players as Klopp runs them into the ground. Theyve all got "miles on the clock" that adds on a couple of extra years in real terms.

But yes, an ageing squad, even the names you've mentioned are all 25+ heading towards 30 in most cases (late 20s). Its no surprise at all the injuries they are getting.

But yes not right. You've just acknowledged hes not right. His complaints have nothing to do with the broadcasters, so it's another stupid fight to pick.

If he wants to protect his players, maybe rather than pointing the finger, he can try looking in the mirror, as hes harming them more than Geoff Shreeves is.

If 5 subs come in, it will be in spite of these idiots, not because of it.
