ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

If City start

Ederson

Walker Dias Laporte Cancelo

Rodri

De Bruyne Bernardo

Sterling Torres Mahrez

They win comfortably. If Pep messes around with two holding mids or De Bruyne or one do the centrebacks get an injury then Liverpool will find a way to swindle it again. They’re miles away from City football wise but then and United play by one set of rules whilst everyone else has to play by another.
That Liverpool defence are hopeless. Sterling walks through them all day long.

Not even close this: 3-0 City.

I would love it if he played that team. However, I'm virtually certain he will start with Gundogan. He always does.

Just watched MOTD and everyone universally acknowledged that Salah dived.

I actually thought it was a penalty. Soft certainly but the defender clipped him. There was no need for the dive. Now that this seed is planted in people's minds, I hope that some of these soft penalties and diving start getting called out. They've been getting away with it for too damn long.

It was a dive. Thats what they do best. Cheating scumbags

This is the thing, the sky 6 have had players dive for as long as i can remember. To get round it commentators have changed the rules of what a penalty was to cover this. A penalty is a foul in the box, that was changed to there was contact. And thats where the problem lays. Its a contact sport, and that incident last night was a prime example. There was contact but it didn't cause salah to fall over he threw himself over. That happens outside the box he stays on his feet.

The game is pathetic now, it's almost a non contact sport. I went to see a couple of games in Portugal and Spain about 5 years ago and basically every third touch was a foul, as soon as anyone ran out of an idea or miscontrolled the ball they just threw themselves over on the floor. Was so frustrating to watch and ruined the flow of the game. The Premier league is just as bad now.

The first thought of any player now when they get in the box is to throw themselves over or slow down then let a player run into them.

Salah is the biggest cheat in Premier League history. He has poor control anyway and when he loses the ball he just always throws himself on the floor. I am surprised that he came back to England from Italy knowing that the league is so physical but he seems to have gone even worse than when he was in Italy and no one can go anywhere near him. He should have had a yellow card yesterday for diving. He even grabbed his own shoulder once against Newcastle and threw himself over!

Everytime he dives I look at a photo of him and his wife.

The Guardian comments are full of angry bitter RS which is a)weird as it's usually Everton fans talking sense and b) encouraging as they are obviously worried which I can't really understand as we are still 4 or 5 players short.

Not laughing at you pal, just laughing at the thought of Liverpool not getting anymore soft penalties.....Like death and taxes, it's always going to happen I'm afraid.
