Aye maybe yes. There tends to be excesses on insurance policies, and time limits as well.

The insurers will probably have a standard amount they will pay for a ACL- maye 7-8 months and there will be an excess too that will be due. Premiums will rise alongside.

Liverpool will likely get his basic covered for half a year or so (when said excess is deducted) but all the bonuses that he has are very unlikely to be covered by insurers.

It's a really awful situation all round. I hope FSG have not scrimped on the insurance cover in a cost cutting, short termist exercise, as the best case scenario above may not even be in play then.

Think that treatment is too kind tbh, the world needs to rid itself of these types of people. I genuinely hope that's not the case and take no glee in the injury itself. He is a very good player and it is a horrible thing to happen to anyone.
