My favourite moment last night was when he brought the ball down with his chest then automatically looked to the right wing for James and must have thought, oh bugger not got him today so he turned the other way and layed off a pass.
Hopefully this will be a lesson on here to those who write off young Everton players as not being good enough.
Young players need time and space to develop. Just because they may go through a lean patch doesn't mean they are bad, just still learning the game.

Its amazing how many England centre forwards Everton have provided over the years. Pickering started his career as a defender and became a centre forward in an emergency, and proved to be pretty good, The Everton and England centre forward everyone forgets is Frank Wignall, who from memory only got one cap, like Dave Unsworth!! Osman got a couple of caps, but most everton and England centre forwards got multiple caps.I'm sure one of our historians can come up with a list!

Interestingly, it seems like the often maligned Unsworth was largely responsible for getting him in and cone layer in chief Duncan Ferguson is credited with a lot of his development.
