Our first team is class and the good news is everyone is upping their game. Delph, Davies, Sigurdsson, Iwobi all came in and all did well imo. The same Brighton side deserved at least a point against an apparantly top 6 side last week. They deserved nothing against us. Hope Coleman and Richy recover for the derby.
You can say Brighton is not a very clever team. They are passing around nicely but they are braindead. Why not pepper Pickford with high balls on corners? Why play around without shooting with a clown in goal like Pickford?

Totally agree. Thought Sigurdsson was decent today and Iwobi improved as the game went on.
3 good contestants for MOM. James, Doucoure and Mina. Went for Mina, a timely reminder to those on here who constantly question his ability for some reason. Good defender, top guy and a huge influence in the dressing room.

Special mention to for Tom Davies. Steady performance and just what the manager would have wanted for him.

Not James best game in terms of quality of touches, but still showed his class to win the match.

To all the new Everton fans, the team at the end was basically Everton last season... aka completely woeful. If you put a couple of these players next to James, Allan and Doucoure, they can play, but without them, they look really lost.

Anyways who cares - 4 of 4 and 7 of 7 is an amazing effort, and scoring easily for a change.

Carlo did not look happy at the end with that second goal conceded.
Yeah it’s got to be nice to become an Everton fan right now.

@GrandOldTeam sort these plebs out. Ruining MOTM and player of the month results.

Yeah that was very weird. They got a lot worse once Lampty went off too. He looks like a genuinely big talent.

We just lacked any control once James went off. Nobody to get hold of the ball.

Bernard would have been the change for me.

We had Davies at full back, no Richarlison, Coleman, Allan or Gomes, and some slight complacency set in at 4-1. And Pickford was a complete mess.

Carlo will probably be angry, but we've had bigger problems recently!

The issue is injuries now. Let's hope we get good news. Or a surprise on Monday.

Brilliant to get such a comfortable win with the players we had missing. Doucoure was excellent bar the brainfart at the end. Slightly concerning how much we retreated after going 3-1 up, but not really a surprise with the lack of legs in midfield - was basically last season again. We do need to get better at playing keepball though, that's what I always notice about the top sides: they're absolutely amazing at pinging it about and minimising risk to nearly nothing. We'll get there.

YES.
