The lower-mid-range market has probably shrunk due to Covid - feels like only the very best players are going to keep value right now.

If we sub wages perhaps we might.

Yeah, I'd expect this to be a prerequisite now. City recently did this very thing for Otamendi to be able to join Benfica. I'd expect more of the same from other clubs, ourselves included.

I still think there may be a last minute pressie from Uncle Mosh. A CB on loan like and a surprise RW
And if we get this RW where does James play
Please do not say central as Carlo has said that while he can play central Carlo prefers him on the right cutting in where he can find space .
If anybody it would be a pacey RB to cover for James lack of defensive capabilities

I think an RB to compete with Coleman would be sensible in terms of improving the squad. Any forward that we sign would be going straight onto the bench at the min. Can’t see that happening unless we offload Walcott and one or two others. Maybe a striker if Kean to Juve materialises.

@catcherintherye i wrote hilarious because City and the RS have been linked to Koulibaly for 2 years and then suddenly he rocks up at Finch Farm? Would be very very funny.

@bag a yoko you not the biggest Skriniar fan? Supposedly the deal inter want is £40mil obligation to buy after a 12month loan. Seems a very good deal to me. Surely hes the vidic type who would do well in the prem.

@Neiler thoughts on these Godfrey rumours, i remember you liked him. Loads of press saying hes similar to Rio Ferdinand, who mentors him. Funnily enough he left west ham at 22 for leeds...how would you compare them both at that age?
