It's definitely not. That would mean a big change to the system and I can't see that.

Not really sir - James would take Gomes role maybe a bit more advanced similiar to Bernard in the cup games
I dont think the current system works long term there isnt enough pace on the right and Coleman often can be isolated.

James can obviously play through the middle, but we don't need an out and out winger on the right hand side. Iwobi will play there on occasion and he looks to come in too. I think that's how Carlo prefers to play.
Well he is hardly going to openly call Pickford a prat and say I am replacing him with a fantastic goalkeeper that i trust

Its worked so far because its caught teams by suprise.
But soon as players with pace start swamping down our right hand side or preventing Rodriguez from spraying balls out to Digne/Richarlison on the left it limits us both offensively and defensively - Gomes isnt gonna get the ball and do the defence splitting passes to compensate in that scenario he just passes sideways and back.
Long term for me would see Doucoure & Allan sitting back, James further forward in triangle shaped 3 with freedom of the middle to pick passes left, central and right.
