On first viewing our new bloke from Southampton looked poor but I think carry little Harry Winks is a contributing factor.
Hope fully that problem will be eradicated in the next game.

I probably said, a little facetiously that I was glad we signed who we did over Hojberg. I think you're right though. A very hard game to make a debut in. Compared to Allan/Doucoure I think he's more of a 1 trick pony- a tackler whereas they are probably a bit more rounded. There looked like there were too many fires for him to put out on Sunday.

I'd also say, he's always looked a bit heavier to me (relative to your modern footballer). Hes probably one who will need 5 or 6 games until you see the best of him.

You're absolutely right about Winks though. I've seen him a few times and it's really cemented in my mind that I'm not sure what he does. He gave Hojberg no help. I was astonished when I read a few things today that he was once considered the new Iniesta and a once in a generation player for England. I don't watch him every week but just don't see that. I would partner Hojberg with Sissoko while he gets settled. Or move Dier forward.

First they were “lazy”, now Jose is blaming their non effort yesterday due to covid.

He’s completely lost it.

Pretty much anyone with any sense knew he was a busted flush...apart from a supposedly shrewd businessman in Levy. When he arrived there the reaction was meh. Had it been the old Mourinho the place would have been jumping. His next move (if he stays in management) will be China.

Contrast the effort of the Leeds players to the half arsed one from Spurs. The difference is one group of players have a manager who inspires them, who they want to play for, while the other group have yesterday’s man.

When our main midfielder Lo Celso gets over he's groin problem he walks straight back into the team and hopefully it's Winks who misses out.

Yore correct, he's no good at anything other than slowing up out play.
I only want hi starting in the League Cup or only the earlier rounds of the European games., (if we get through?)

Every time I see this Lo Celso on the documentary he pisses me off. Proper hate the way he walks and the faces he pulls

As long as mourinho is there i don’t see Kane hitting the amount of goals he should be (pushing 30) and I don’t see spurs getting anywhere near top 4, his tactics look a little dated now and unless he’s looking to scrape a 1-0 they look abit clueless.

Is it worth watching? Find reality shows really cringe and made up most the time, although I did like watching a manager documentary not long ago on big Ron Atkinson from years back

Growing up when I started going football in the late 70' and then through the 80's, we all know what went on between supporters and in those days, (when they wasn't even a bigger club than us) I absolutely detested them and would also have loved to have seen them go bust but now I've mellowed a bit, I would miss the going to the biggest Lndon Derby so now I would be happy enough to just see them have to suffer as much as Wet Spam fans.
Football without proper rivalries would be sad and if they disappeared I would maybe even consider buying something red?

You haven't wonder if Jose Pulis has, well, done what he does - alienated and upset his squad.

Unlucky

We all knew this would happen when he went there, and it’s the main reason I didn’t want him anywhere near us when he was available. The guy is not the manager he was 10 years ago, he is mentally ill. He should retire as soon as this sorry episode is over, for his own sake.

His tactics being relatively the same as when he broke through is a hindrance now. Once teams figure out the small tweaks at each new club it just goes down hill as he gets moodier and refuses to adjust anything.

Football has evolved he hasn’t. Think this could be his last club job and then become Portugal manager when it comes available.
