It was great to have Moyes’ steel at the back mixer with Barry and Lukaku etc but it all fell apart rather quickly. You get the feeling Martinez needs to build a small club from the ground up in his image like he did at Swansea or manage Barca.

Lot of time for him as a person though.

As it turned out a mixture of Moyes and Martinez gave us a really good season, it's when martinez had let the defensive drills slip we went to rat plop

It's an worn out point but if you combined the work ethic, fight and defensive organisation of Moyes with Martinez's flair and progressive play on the ball that's everything you could ask for in a team, hence Berto's first season.

Agree. Nice man, but an absolute joke as a manager who had no plan b. Thankfully we had club legends Baines and Jags to usher him out the door.
