It is odd when you take into account most fees are paid in installments.
No way we are parting with 127m this summer.

Think he's putting 2&2 together. We take out a loan against advanced TV payments pretty much every season. This season we did that and we also opened a new £60m overdraft with metro Bank replace one that had run out a year or so back. This is viewable on companies House but paperwork looks similar to a loan (see attached).

So we didn't "borrow" £127m and what we did borrow won't all be for transfer fees anyway I imagine. There's up front signing on fees, agent fees, new contracts for existing players etc to factor in.
