Sir Mike has done a proper number on them here. He’s taken the heat right off himself and thrown it onto the Premier League. Any time a fan questions him now he can throw his hands up and say “hey lads, I tried, I exchanged contracts and everything, but it was blocked, what’s a guy to do eh hahaha?” He’s essentially made himself bulletproof for the next 3 years while he can continue to cream off the PL.

He is the biggest genius in sport. Every single year he manages to outdo himself in the jarg takeover rumour championships. He is quite simply the best person that’s ever existed in football, I hope he’s made king.

In all fairness to the great Mike, he's said he's going to sell it and I think the deal he made was quite generous to the buyer. I think he is blameless on all this. If the Saudis can pay and are fit and proper owners then they'd be punching Arabian stallions right now.

I suspect the buyers over represented the capacity to do the deal. Poor ol' Mike.
