I don’t know if he can genuinely believe we are anywhere near challenging for the top 4. If you aren’t technically close to the top sides, you need to at least be able to show fight. We are a million miles away

Wouldn't say a million miles away to at least be competitive.

I think the gap from where a team wants to get to and where they currently are can be bridged a lot quicker and easier than people think.

You look at the chasing pack now and it's easy to think they're 5 years away from challenging City and Liverpool, but it can change in a couple of windows.

In recent seasons we've had Chelsea finishing 10th then winning the league comfortably the next season.

Leicester scrapping relegation to league champions.

City finishing 3rd, then getting 100 points the next season

Liverpool finishing 4th then getting 96 points

A couple of good signings and above all consistency makes a decent team into a good one in this league now.

The problem we're having is playing Iwboi and Siggy out wide is that they're poor footballers on the ball.
