ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Ah but don’t you know D, if you bring up the R card with them, you get called a hypocrite and have articles thrown in your face about us and racism
Racism and Liverpool:

Formed in 1892 by people who hated Irish Catholics
Ban on all Irish Catholic players until the 1980s
Abused Mike Trebilcock as "Everton's n*gg*r" in the 1960s
Psychologically tortured Howard Gayle (Liverpool's first black player in the 1970s)
Tommy 'Anfield Iron' Smith' "I'd never allow me daughter to marry a C**n".
Kenny Dalglish as manager in the 1980s using a black counter on the white tactis board to denote John Barnes (the other players had red counters)
Murdered 39 Italians in 1985.
Suarez / Evra, Negrito / Uruguayan patois scandal 2011.
Tom Adeyemi in 2012 booed and called c**n by sections of the Kop.

The rest of football should take the knee and protest that lot.

I think the Ku Klux Klan fancy dress outfit merits a mention too.

Following on from Liverpool yesterday, 'Kick it Out' says all clubs should take a knee to show support for George Floyd

So it's top story on the BBC website like Liverpool yesterday?..

Nah, Klopp misses football

Isnt 'taking the knee' a "black thing?" Surely if non-black players do it then its cultural appropriation- isnt that bad thing? Modern stuff. I'm so confused.

I can only hope one of them put their knee out like I do every time I kneel.
I always thought taking a knee was an NFL term.
Players do it when slightly injured or when quarterback is running down the clock at the line of scrimmage at the end of the game.

It was a protest by an NFL player at the national anthem to make a statement about how his country was failing his people.

I personally believe white folk doing it in support is hypocritical given the player in question was made out to be unpatriotic at the time and even before injury had his career affected.

It was never a symbol of black Americans , but then white people have misinterpreted the black out Tuesday as well .......

I know all about the Kapernick protest, but it's deffo an NFL term mate.

I have a black San Francisco jersey with his name on. It's actually worth a few quid.
