I wish someone would ask them why the PL needs sporting integrity, but other leagues dont.

But we, alas, know the answer.

Their big sticking point is Sky and BT money. Are Sky and BT going to sue them? No.

What happens if they do? The Prem takes their product away and says fine, we'll do it ourselves or with Amazon/BBC. The Prem has leverage here but they don't seem to want to use it.

Been saying the same for a while.

Perfectly happy to admit that is based on listening to Simon Jordan these last few weeks. Seems to have nailed it.

Indeed, I can see next season being voided unless there is a drastic change in circumstances (which does not look likely)
I see Bradford City (small club I know) are saying there not selling season tickets for next season since they dont think there will be any fan attended football, first club I've heard say this.

Only issue with that is they have no network themselves to show it. BBC have no serious cash to bid leaving Amazon to low ball the offer as BT and Sky are not bidding.

The clubs will all vote and agree to play behind closed doors.

The owner of Bristol City, Steve Lansdown, sold about 1/2 billion worth of his shares in Hargreaves Lansdown the other day.

Y'know.

Neutral venues apart from the Slabbers who will get the same rules as England got in the world cup in 1966...

The Premier League dont want to anger the company that pays them the most money.

Sky have won voting time and time again, they HAVE to win voting to keep afloat, if The Premier League loses Sky, the price will crash and they wont get as much for their product.

Its mutual destruction.

MG, there is more money to make going alone and with Amazon

It’s a farcical situation, not helped by the armchair watching dolts from the brethren popping up on every timeline related to these latest revelations and every story about a league either ended or planning to continue

All the arguments seem to be that no leagues should cancel, we should be playing to a finish even if it takes till Christmas then start next season in the new year, running the Euros in between like they will be for the 2022 World Cup, conveniently forgetting that the reason we are even having a winter WC instead of summer is the same reason we can’t have a winter Euros instead of summer, because of adverse weather conditions

Again it needs reiterating for any lurkers, it’s not about being against you, it’s about common sense and not spreading the virus further, very minimal amounts of sport can do that under social distancing and contact sports such as football aren’t one of them
