Yesterday when the story originally broke, I posted the Sky Sports article on FB. Not a single one of my kopite “friends” on there has popped their heads above the parapet to make any sort of comment- can’t imagine why!
Ha ha ha, now they’ve slammed it into reverse one of them has come up for air, and apparently........

“Poorly judged in terms of the long culture of LFC”. Whatever that means?
“It was the fans that made them change their mind”. Nothing at all to do with the media or sponsors!

He then reverts to the net spend argument, and it’ll only be three days of negative publicity!

Only it’s not the top comment on that thread. In fact it’s nowhere near the top of that thread, I had to scroll down and search for it.
It also only has 2 replies, and so isn’t the top commented reply either.
It’s also utter jarg, as Everton FC haven’t furloughed anyone, what other contractors and suppliers do is beyond the control of the club.
Amazing that you both sought this out, and then posted it in a completely disingenuous manner, trying to portray it as being a ‘hot take’ and a matter of much discussion.
Your pretence at being a Blue is utterly tragic and as transparent as tissue paper. You’re nowhere near as smart as you’d like to think you are Keiran. Pack it in lad, it’s as weary as hell.

Respectfully, mate, you’re wrong. Maybe you looked at the wrong tweet, but Mayor Joe’s latest has hundreds of comments, and that’s the top one - therefore I didn’t seek anything out.

It's amazing that they have now 'reversed the decision' and not made a 'U-turn' according to most press outlets.
Words are a very poweful tool and with the number of paid shills they have planted in virtually all media outlets

But how would the mayor know anything about Everton's arrangement for agency staff?
The real reason is attention and being seen to be virtuous. The twin loves of every Kopite. This person cares not one whit about the club shop staff, or he would have established his facts before tweeting the mayor for maximum attention.

So are you back tracking on the “only two comments” part of your statement, there’s almost 200, as evidenced?
I don’t follow any of the top 3 commenters. Two are reds and one is a blue. I haven’t a clue how Twitter index these comments. I’d encourage everyone else to have a look on Twitter at Mayor Joe’s tweet. It won’t be just me.
