Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

Howe saying finish the season when its safe to do so.
Lovely idea in theory. The problem is we have no idea when it will be safe to do so. This could go on till Sept easily, hell it could go on till the end of the year and beyond. The fact of the matter is that nobody (including the premier league by that point) other the the RS and their acolytes in the media will care enough to finish a season that stopped the best part of a year earlier. EVERYONE will want a fresh start and the reality is that we'll get it. By that point Sky and BT will be so desperate for the return of football that the last thing they'll want to do is potentially put off casuals who will just assume that it's a new season and couldn't give a toss about the RS and their hurt feelings.

No point rushing anything, I hardly see this virus sticking until August. Just restart everything then. Why ruin multiple seasons when you can just ruin one?

You wouldn't fancy your chances of winning that case would you.

Personally, if any clubs go to court over whatever is decided from a league standing point of view over this, will amaze me.

Well the only club that wouldn't outright amaze me would be Liverpool. But I hope they recognise the huge embarrassment and shame they'd cause themselves if they do.

If there's one thing they are good at its failing to recognise the embarrassment they cause themselves
