This^^^ .

The Olympics have been moved a whole year. Athletes timing to get to a peak will have to start all over again. Every other sport has closed down. All the EPL is concerned about is the Sky and BT money, which they will just waste on players wages and agents fees. They are all money sucking barstewards but enough is enough, they should be told that it’s closed and the £700+ M should just be split between the EPL and Sky/BT/etc. It was no ones fault so no one party should gain.....in fact take the £700+M and give it to the NHS......

It basically boils down to: ‘we haven’t been able to pay players and agents their astronomical fees which is taking money out of the game, so instead we’re going to put players health at risk, and drag resources away from the emergency services in order to take money from the average fan so they have to pay their tv subs, so the tv companies will give us the money and then we can give it to players and agents.

That’s effectively what it is, please can we be allowed to dredge more money from the public during this time of crisis so we can give it to millionaire players and agents.

'Premier League void ruling emerges which Liverpool will love'

"Premier League clubs will NOT be allowed to void the current season and deny Liverpool the opportunity to win the title."

The Reds will join other top-flight teams in gathering on Friday for a video conference to discuss the next steps amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Football in England has been suspended until at least April 30, although it is expected that date will be extended according to guidance from the government with the country in virtual lockdown at present.

There are a number of clubs who would prefer to see the current Premier League campaign declared void and instead concentrate on planning for a new season, despite the possibility of it also being affected by potential future lockdowns.

Karren Brady, vice-chairman of struggling, relegation-threatened West Ham United, went public with her desire to cancel the season, while it is widely understood lowly duo Brighton and Watford and mid-table Tottenham Hotspur are among other clubs thought to be in agreement.

However, it has emerged Premier League clubs cannot unilaterally scrap the campaign.

Any change to promotion and relegation needs to be in agreement with the FA League Committee and the EFL, the other league that would be affected.

And with the EFL having already publicly stated their 72 clubs have agreed to commit to completing the season, it would appear the Premier League have no choice but to continue investigating ways of how best to play out their 92 remaining fixtures.

Eventual resumption of the Premier League – and the EFL and the National League – would depend on the green light from the government, police and medical authorities, with it believed the government are keen to allow the season to restart once it is much safer to do so.

That date isn’t imminent, with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson anticipating it will be “a few months at least” before being back in action with focus instead on containing the spread of coronavirus.

Liverpool currently stand 25 points clear at the summit and need just two wins from their final nine games to clinch the championship for the first time since 1990.

However, the main issue is with promotion and relegation to and from the top flight, with the likes of Championship front-runners Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion considering their legal options.

The FA League Committee already decided last week, in consensus with many representatives of the 91 leagues across steps 3-7 in the pyramid, to end the season below the National League’s three divisions.

However, the decision has not yet been ratified by the FA Council, with several teams considering legal action. It is still possible final positions, and thus promotion and relegation, will be determined by a points-per-game formula.

Have the conference in an NHS waiting room if they don't think there's a problem.

The National League Board met earlier today and has reviewed its prior decision to suspend the competition until at least 3rd April 2020.

In consideration of the very serious and unprecedented national public health emergency caused by the coronavirus, the Board has taken the decision to suspend the National League, National League North and National League South competitions indefinitely.
The National League is currently obtaining specialist legal advice, is consulting regularly with The Football Association and other stakeholders, and is committed to involving its member clubs in a pending decision on how best to conclude the 2019/20 season
