I love how they're crying at Atleti's tactics calling it boring, the antithesis of football and (this is the best) cowardly because they knew they couldn't match them.
They beat you in the first leg and they beat you in the second leg: I think it's you couldn't match them! Horses for courses and Herr Klopp was a pony yesterday.
Well I'm off to the gym now suitably attired in my parachute blue Everton training top.I betcha feel better already !![]()
Good luck mate , don't get drawn into any arguments, just smirk , your grin will tell them all and report back with their reactions and video evidence if possible .Well I'm off to the gym now suitably attired in my parachute blue Everton training top.
I'll report back in a couple of hours. I'm looking forward to interacting with the Cult.
Despite the feeble claims of Liverpool’s indignant manager, that was a wonderfully measured performance from Simeone’s side.
Their defence for the most part was impregnable, and when they broke, they did so with flair, employing speed of pin-point passing and footwork resplendent of the finest Latin dancers.
They toyed with Liverpool like the proverbial cat with a stricken bird, and exploited all that’s wrong with Liverpool’s mediocre midfield and lacklustre defence.
The unsporting can blame yet another keeper’s performance, but in the end, they were given a lesson in football.
Time for some home truths Juergen.
They’ve drugged their players up to the point where 35 year old Milner could out run any Atletico player last night. Their team without Salah and Firmino put 4 past a fully rested Barcelona last season and made them look like a kids team. Yet the second an opposition team actually accepts reality and sits deep and doesn’t bother taking their illegal battering then they’re up in arms about how it’s not fair.
FFS this isn’t some wonder team akin to Guardiola’s Barcelona who beat teams by being so good on the ball that teams can’t get near them. Or a team like Mourinho’s Chelsea who could mix physical power with world class footballing ability because they had more money than anyone at the time. It’s not even a team like Arsenal’s invincibles or United of 08-09 who had multiple genuine once in a generation world class attacking talent like Henry Ronaldo Rooney.
Firmino scored his first goal at home all season, Milner and Henderson used to get found out at any major international tournament they played in. This is not some wondrous team. What they’ve done is play a style no one can cope with because they can commit 7 players to an attack knowing that they could run back quicker than the opposition would ever be able to run forward with the ball. More than that, they have guaranteed they can do it every game, 3 games a week, with the same 11, for two years, with barely a single dip in performance home and away.
No team in history has been able to do that over that sort of time period (even City who have miles better footballers have dropped off this season). Like I said I could buy it if from 1-11 they had genuine generational talents and took a few losses but still won everything, no problem. When they just run every single team off the pitch home and away regardless of who plays for them then I don’t buy it.
They’ve doped for the last few seasons and probably matchfixed in the premier league too judging by the unnatural amount of goalkeeping errors and VAR decisions they get each week. It would serve them right if the whole thing got cancelled due to Corona Virus as they’ve been cheating the system.
