It's a bad sign when he has to have others shoring his reputation up with a 30 minute documentary...which told us he was 'an architect' that he's 'nice' and he 'wears smart suits'.

The feller is well out of his depth here. Moshiri sidelining him on the appointemnt of Silva, Silva's sacking and then Ancelotti's appointment tells you all you need to know about that feller.

If he had any dignity (and after also overseeing a signing policy that's left us in 12th - 4 places worse off than when he took over) he'd resign.

Revisionism again Dave, Brands was appointed after Silva was, technically no DoF was at the club when Silva was hired so no one was sidelined there

No, he was already on his way and tying up loose ends at PSV when the decision to hire Silva was made.

Moshiri chased Silva for 12 months and more and was never going to consult Brands.

On the pitch Sunday were 5 of his signings (Richie, Gomes, Bernard, Digne, Sidibe). There was 3 on the bench (Mina, Kean, Iwobi). The glaring criticism of that match has been the players. Not one player performed Sunday. Lets cross Gomes off but injury aside, the lad has put in performances like that pre injury so for me he's going to have to show consistency he's not showed in his Everton career (or even prior) to be a success. The rest of them were woeful and the ones on the bench are simply not deemed good enough to get in this, lets be honest, a very poor Everton side. Now we signed Mina two summers ago - surely he should now be a regular? He cant even get in the team??? And this defence is dreadful. There's no way we signed Iwobi to be a bench player either. Kean looks miles away. Moshiri went on about having a small window to break into the top four. So why are we buying players who aren't ready? And this "they're young, they need to develop" stuff is fine if we are winning. But we are mid table if that. Some young players get better, others do not. It's still a gamble, no matter how you dress it up.
Last year's buys, richie aside, are just not consistent enough to be challenging at the right end of the table. We need players who can perform in big games, turn up when it matters. Ours fold. Not just the players of Walsh and Koeman era, who people like to blame, certainly they have a point, but don't give Brands players different treatment. They're just as bad. Bernard gets off because he played on the right but Sig gets slaughtered when he's never a left mid. Bernard is never a top 6 player in a million years. Digne should be sold, we'd be lucky to get our money back. Sidibe well....it's a good job he was loaned.
Brands era has not been a success thus far. Just go and watch that game on Sunday and remind yourself there was 8 of his players in that first team squad.

He'd chased Brands longer than Silva, going as far back as how we ended up with Walsh in the role, it would have been Brands or Monchi (Brands was too loyal, Monchi flat out turned down the role) appointed instead of the P.E teacher and we wouldn't have seen Koemageddon happen

He's an average DOF who done well building a side with a bigish club in a weak league.

Get rid and bring in Monchi or Rangnick or the bloke at Dortmund etc.

Plenty better than this dosser.

We could probably get a lot of that back on flogginng some of the dead wood also, Bolasie, Sandro, Besic, Keane, Schneiderlin, Tosun, Niasse, Davies, Walcott (maybe), Iwobi?
Christ you wouldn't wish that job on your worst enemy.. If he manages this then the man goes right up in my estimation in the summer.
