ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

tenor.gif

Let's save that one until they are out of the CL and we've beaten them at Goodison. ;) Then you can truly say the wheels have come off!

So.what the cause of this mini flop.

Too many games
Luck run out
Clubs have figured them out

The club have been in legal wranglings with Mark Warneke for the past 5/6 weeks over IP, and in the meantime he has pulled his drink from them until it is resolved. He continued development of the 'elixir' while under their employment, but with him trying to maximise profits and exposure by selling to other clubs, LFC have claimed full ownership on the recent and, all historic IP. He disputes this and has terminated their access until court is settled.*

*I may have just made all that up

Unfortunately their 'blip' has come far too late. Why couldn't this has happened before Christmas when City were still in with a shout? They'll still go through in the CL and are winning the league with a points record.

As long as Atletico beat them I can live with them winning the league as it's been a very slow burner given everybody has accepted them as champions since about October. Yes their fans will love it, yes the media will be all over them for ages, but City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Wolves and us will all strengthen in the summer and they'll largely stay as they are. They won't get so lucky next season, especially with VAR changes implemented and other teams not making the same mistakes twice (City not having a replacement for Laporte, United not having a replacement for Rashford, etc).
I hate them winning the league as much as anyone. That said that’s a lot of teams to strengthen. I would rather they all didn’t strengthen an Everton did an finished above the lot of them. I find it mad people wanting teams like Man U An Chelsea to come good again just to stop them. I would rather they didn’t so Everton could get champions league strengthen even more an then stop Liverpool themselves.

You're not wrong mate. I am gutted we've not picked up more than a point from our last two games as I think it's killed off any chance we might have had of finishing 5th as it now means we need to go to Chelsea and win, and we know what this group of players is like when they're under pressure. I don't think we'll be anywhere close to Liverpool in the next few years, so the only saving grace will be if one of the teams I mentioned improves, preferably City as we're closer to the rest of them in terms of quality. Let City win the league for the next two seasons but be banned from Europe which opens up 5th for the CL for two more years - by then we should have a squad capable of top four.

Apparently Klopp has blamed the ball for Adriens howler. You know the ball that only his team had to use while Chelsea used a much fairer one.

They'll win the league by about 12 points and mirror Blackburn's achievement on the roll of honour.

I expect City will win the Champions League, Fa Cup and League Cup again which will over shadow everything and reinforce there position as the best team in English football.
