Everton and VAR

But the VAR takes the decision out of his hands the second they decide to review it. The ref on the field didn't refer it, he gave the goal. But as soon as the VAR decides to review it, it's in their hands.

I believe the ref can overwrite the video room. Like I say, last minute winner, if our players think it’s a valid goal then no reason for them to be so subdue while the opponent swam all over the ref.

we may not get the decision we want but standing there doing very little to convince the ref is something I don’t understand. Like I mention in the other thread. The difference in mindset between Ancelotti and the players are clear in this particular incident.

Could not get to it for the simple reason as we have said because it took big deflection,so he couldnt see the 1st shot or the one after deflection lol

That must the the quickest sigs moved his legs for us lol

Did V A R look if it was a penalty for the tackle on Sigardssun, he looked to have been cleaned out, never heard anyone asking the question.
I was just posting this. Everyone needs to have a look at this. Gylfi should have scored but their defender wipes him out leading to him on the floor. YouTube it, it’s a stone wall penalty missed in all the farce.

From the BBC....

Everton defender Michael Keane said it was a "ridiculous" decision.

"How that goal has been disallowed for us?" he asked on BBC Radio 5 Live. "De Gea has gone the other way because he can see the ball and it was going towards that corner. Then it hit Harry Maguire - I think it was Maguire anyway - and it's gone right in the corner.
"There's not a chance he's getting back to save it. VAR screwed us again."

Well said Michael.

We haven't had one 50/50 VAR call go our way all season, somebody at the club has to have a sit down with the referees chief and say that there's an agenda against us. Top clubs do it if one or two go against them and then things change. We've had more than a handful disgusting cheat decisions v us.

I'd argue our goal at Old Trafford in December was a 50/50 when DCL was all over De Gea.

Today's decision was a poor one in my opinion but let's not play the perpetual victims.

while i can think of the ALI handball pen not give, pen at Brighton give /pen not give v brighton at Goodison early on,the last second goal for leicester, and today as some of the ones i can think of
