No it hasn't. We've still got a very good chance of getting a Europa spot. Deserved at least a point from that game. Having Gomes available is a massive bonus going forward.

We have a very straightforward run in. Let's see where we are by the middle of March before we start writing off our season.

I agree but I thought they were pretty similar today. Slow, laboured and not sure what to do.

Cant speak for Iwobi, but felt Bernard had so little option on the ball sometimes. He did keep the ball moving and try to play the trickier passes into dangerous areas.

Ultimately though Bernard usually plays left, so can understand if he looked a little bit isolated.

I thought we played ok - ish and out played the Arse in the 2nd half but we switch off at vital times and the lack of quality in midfield is alarming.

Gomes made a huge difference and a decent midfielder alongside him would be great.

We are very much a work in progress.

Carlo has only been here for a few weeks and not brought in any of his own players.

He tuirned around on the whislte and unched the air then went to his bench and then on the pitch. Completely avoided a hand shake with CA.

Didn’t go unnoticed by me. His conduct at Goodison whilst playing for Arsenal is still fresh in my memory. He is a snide and showed zero class to an opposition manager who he can only dream of being as successful.

Last season we lost 0-2 under Silva at the Emirates, and that was arguably one of the better away performances by Silva's Everton. This season, yes we lost again (but at least scored twice), and the stats suggest we were unlucky.

17 attempts on goal with 5 on target, Arsenal 9 attempts on goal with 4 on target doesn’t point to being unlucky mate, it points to being crap in front of goal.
