That said, Paul Heaton is one the most over looked song writers. Like the Squeeze lads are. Some absolute pearls in their collective catalogues.

They did a lot for the late 90's/early 00's imo. Kitsuné, Ed Banger etc, music wasn't always the best but the nights were colourful and fun.

Kiss have some belter albums in the 70's and their live shows are legendary. Sure Simmons and Stanley are blurts but that's irrelevant.

Controversial one this, because 1. They are my favourite band, and 2. They are, or were, very very fashionable after they went global 40 years ago.

Over rated because they have not really written a decent song for 35 years, they were going nowhere fast until they lucked out on a producer they hated, and hardly reinvented anything. One trick ponies and very very formulaic.

To be fair one of their biggest hits repeatedly drops the f bomb in its chorus. They are not that much of a wet blanket.

I thought A Little Time was a fine song. The Housemartins were better though.
