Not at all mate. I know what I'm talking about.

How about you dissect some Beatles songs and tell me what is going on regarding composition? How about explaing the interplay between the guitars, or the construction of the harmonies. How about comparing what they produced in their earliest albums to what had gone before in the popular music world?

I'm not saying they haven't done anything good, not at all.

I'm saying the amount of nutjobs who gasp when someone says they don't love the Beatles is weird. There are other bands available.

All of this is just a way to use your ability to play the guitar to place your appreciation above other peoples. There's only 2 types of music, stuff you like and stuff you don't. If only people with an ability to dissect composition and arrangement were allowed an opinion on pop music it would be an extremely narrow (and boring) field.
