Disgruntledgoat
Player Valuation: £50m
Anyone else noticed how much the "Unsure" reaction thing looks like Carlo?
Definitely. Now I know he's mostly here for the pay packet, and that's absolutely fine, but it must hurt his professional pride to send out a team that he knows will perform badly and struggle to string passes together, ending with the fans either booing the team off the field or clapping when he ultimately removes one of the many under-performing players. I just hope this is as bad as it gets and we can start to look to the future with our midfielders slowly returning from injury and the deadwood having their contracts expire or somehow find a new home.Feel sorry for him that a man of his standing in the game is having to select Delph and Davies as his central midfield.
Anybody have a link to the presser please?
Thanks for taking the time to put it in print here although it's depressing reading . Richi out and Keane fit . Still , Siggy still carrying a knock is a little uplifting .some of the Ancelotti Newcastle P/C
Richarlison ruled out
Richarlison trained today but he still has pain so is not available for tomorrow. He's doing well but we don't want to take a risk."
Iwobi is doing well but won't be risked
Sigurdsson ruled out
Sigurdsson is out, Keane will be in the squad
Ancelotti on injuries
We had a lot of games so the players are not recovering properly. We take more risks in this period. We are having a busy time and I think after this game we have a period where we can train properly and have a good rest."
Ancelotti on winter break
It's new that there's a winter break in February. The fact in England you play over the Christmas period is important. A winter break can help all the teams be better at the end of the season.
Ancelotti offers Gbamin update
Gbamin started some partial training with the team. We will see in the next days.
Ancelotti on Moise Kean
I'm asking him nothing special. I have to be patient with him, he's only 19. The fact that he played with the team is good. He has a good connection with Dominic and I hope he's going to improve quickly."
DCL for England
I don't have to tell Southgate to look at Dominic, because he already did. He has to keep going, he's showing a good quality in this moment. After that, Southgate has his own right to decide
Ancelotti on Holgate
He's doing well, I have confidence in him, but honestly I have confidence in all three [centre-backs]. Defensively they were good."
Ancelotti on Newcastle
We had problems against Newcastle in the away game. We have to be focussed, not looking at the table in this moment. Three points tomorrow will be really important for our confidence."
Ancelotti on departures
No news today (on Niasse and Martina).
Ancelotti on Emre Can link
Last press conference I said all the names that are in the newspaper are wrong.
I can say the same today.
All the names on Sky are also wrong.
Ancelotti on DCL
More on Calvert-Lewin
Of course he can play [for England]. England has fantastic strikers, he has to fight, but I think he has the quality and possibility to be a great striker
Ancelotti on transfer plans
I am talking every day with Marcel.
We are looking at players, some targets we have, but I don’t want to say what we need.
Ancelotti on winter break plans
"The plan for the winter break is to give some rest to the players and then to train here, I want to stay at Finch Farm. We don't need to travel around the world, I want to stay here.

Carlo is really showing his management skills at the moment
Yes, in the past he’s managed title winning teams but to get results currently out of this squad is very commendable.
I like the way he changes the formation to make use of the limited resources he has, this also seems to confuse the opposition as to how to match up with the changes during the game.
Cant wait til he has the summer window to shake things up a bit.
He has non, if we don’t win he’s unhappy and even when we do win he’s unhappy, top top manager, wants his players to be betterYou lads need to give your heads a good wobble.
Feeling sorry for Carlo? Behave! Leaving the cash he earns entirely to one side he has a very decent set-up.
Even with injuries the squad is much better than the likes of Burnley and Palace that are all putting in decent results recently. The training and backroom set up are top notch as well.
He should be under pressure to beat Newcastle at home. No excuses!
*looks at table, sees we're actually behind Palace and only two points ahead of Burnley*Even with injuries the squad is much better than the likes of Burnley and Palace that are all putting in decent results recently. The training and backroom set up are top notch as well.
Kean will start again tomorrow with DCL then, hopefully it will work better

CL form, shame we had such a bad start. He’s on ten points from 5 games (incl. City away) despite us having injuries all over the place and a very poor squad of players. That’s European qualification form despite us missing the likes of Gomes Gbamin Richarlison Bernard for all or some of those games.
Not sure what people reasonably expect from him? If he beats Newcastle at home it’s absolutely great form all things considering.
