Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

I don't believe you anymore than I would anyone else on here, or even myself, none of us have any real idea, just opinions. I am no evangelist for Dunc, but maybe you should explain why he and Arteta would fail and while you're at it tell me who the best possible manager is and why he would come to Everton. I just think we should try something different, given the abject failure of our policy over the last five years, one that you seem to advocate repeating.

Big Dunc and Arteta are gambles - the same as Marco Silva was ergo its the exact same policy that we have been pursuing.

Go out and get a bloke who's got success in a proper league.

DF focuses on the very basics and in the short term it will lift the team. The question is whether he is capable of developing the team beyond this. Although we got a result today, we were very unorganized. There were large spaces between our lines and our midfield was largely too wide defensively. Fortunately, MU failed to take advantage of this.

How has he alienated players who don't work hard enough for the cause?

How you respond is key. Perhaps Kean ups his effort and remembers why this club pays his substantial wage packet.

This club has drifted aimlessly for years.
It's about time we got ourselves a real leader. I have stated I want Simeone. If that is a pipe dream then I want someone of the temperament and ilk. A manager I would go to war for.

Perhaps that man is Duncan. I certainly would work my socks off for him. I believe in him and have been impressed with his coaching so far. That could indeed be just a flash in the pan. But why play it down. We have suffered for almost a quater of a century and I am sick of it. We need a larger than life character/leader to get us moving again.
Because the players on the field decide Ferguson's future. We have seen it happen at united under mourinho he criticises players and what happens, the players play crap for him on purpose to get him sacked.

Players care about themselves that's why we have players on high wages who are difficult to shift because they don't want to take a pay cut so they reject moves.

players don't get sacked for poor performances, managers do, hence why keeping the players happy is paramount.

If Ferguson continues with the Roy Keane mentality "it's my way or leave" crap he will be sacked, simple as.

Sorry if it’s already been posted but Everton are making a statement tonight regarding the management of Everton going forward. Duncan said it I’m is interview after the game and it’s been reported in the express.

You seem to be forgetting that he was missing a full set of midfielders today mate.

I don't like the Kean thing, very very poor. But I'm just filled with love for this man, can feel my childhood flowing back with every fistpump. No idea what he will end up as tactically but despite what older evertonians say about him, the guy is natural leader and completely l;loves the club
