Peter Reid, one of the club's most important players of my lifetime, came back from several setbacks - lies injured here at Bolton against on New Year's Day 1979 while play carries on at other end. Magnificent player. -

I was stood behind that goal.

Reidys injury was caused by our keeper George Wood.
Match abandoned at half time at 1-1
Worthington opened the scoring for Bolton down this end,
Trevor Ross equalised at the far end playing with an orange ball.
Later in the season we lost the re arranged game 3-1

We were the winners signing Reidy for 60 grand that match should have never taken place looking at that photo......

Was there as well. New it was one each, but didnt remember the 3-1 defeat.
