First 2 weeks of December will unfortunately kill us off this season. No way we're getting double digit points from that month at all. To go into January, in the stinking form over half a season, expecting to catch up 10/15 points on teams above us challenging for Europe, will be an impossible task.
I think you're massively overrating everyone we play besides the RS and Chelsea if you think winning 3 of the other 5. I don't If I had to guess I'd say we get right around 10.

The other thing is the way the league has gone so far I don't know that enough teams will be winning consistently to put us 10-15 points back. It's all so mediocre after the top few clubs.

Anyway not the thread for this to continue on. We do need Bernard back if only to get Gylfi back on the bench.

We definitely aren't dead yet. We need to make a run soon, but the rest of the league aside from a few teams is pretty mediocre. I mean if we hit the mythical 72 points this year we would easily be in the CL. Europa might not even hit 50.

Bernard back on the left, Iwobi down the center, Walcott wide right and Richarlison up top is the best attacking set up I've seen us use so far. So getting Bernard back should be helpful. Come summer we should try to upgrade that spot but he's the best we have for now.

I agree with the basis of your point but i'd say Chelsea at home was a much likelier source of points than Leicester away. Leicester's home record is excellent and our away record is...not. Chelsea are a good side but they can be got at defensively. Clearly this is going to backfire on me massively but I think the Chelsea, United and Arsenal games are ones that might actually suit us.

We need Bernard back soon though, he offers us something that none of the others do, and with a bit of a pile up in December we need all hands on deck.

Mate we have won 3 games all season havnt we? Against newly promoted and bottom of the league teams. You really think we are going to or can win 3 of the 5 games excluding RS and Chelsea?

I really think you should get a life with a bit of positivity in it. If you can't I'd suggest without malice that supporting a football club isn't for you.
Get out of it. My life is fine I’m being a realist and when the 18th of December comes and nothing has come of December come back and I will gracefully accept your apology

That’s a trifle harsh
There is a fine line of subjectivity between positivity, negativity and reality.
To be frank it’s been difficult to be positive about our club for the last 24 years. Winning trophies breeds positivity. A lack of them tends to inevitably suck positivity out of you.
I want to be positive. I am trying but life is running out

Phoney realism is the negative thinkers timeless excuse. No apology coming from me, or other posters who have worked you out. Theres a book published years ago called The Power Of Positive Thinking. Ask at the local Library. And while you're at it have a look for How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie. Well worth a read.

I don't think its harsh at all. We 'support' our football club. Theres no point in doing that if we are done for by continually negative vibes. I'm probably more positive than most, because of my circumstances and the job I do, but at the very least supporting football, anywhere, should be a pleasure.
