Is it time to panic?

Too many Sergeant Jones’s shouting “don’t panic”.

We don’t need to “panic”.....just yet anyway.....but we need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Relegation form in the first quarter of the season equals being in a relegation struggle.

When our “relegation form” kicked in after Anfield last season we already had a few points banked and it served us well.

We do not have that advantage right now.

Most worryingly, this downward spiral has gathered momentum when we had the most “favourable” opening quarter of a season fixtures I can ever remember.

Heaven help us when the better teams rock up at Goodison (City gave us a taste of what to expect....a plucky raising of our game then the predictable defeat) or when we go to The Pit, Old Trafford etc.

Personally, I cannot see Silva being the man to arrest this slide.

I have no idea who to replace him with but I am convinced that sommat needs doing sooner rather than later otherwise our worst nightmare might just become a reality come next May.

Everton and Brexit leave me with the same feelings of loosing the will to live. Don’t have any faith in either of them. The question is will there be a new manager before we exit the European Union!

Saying that we seem to be alright against teams that have a go at us. It's everyone else we are crap against. I see a nothing season but we won't go down.

All the above will do until some proper, crocodile dundee-esque "Nah mate, they're not reasons, THESE are reasons to panic" come along.

I reckon this is the year.

We have been poor for the past decade, constant failure and embarrassment, but always surviving. This now just looks hopeless, a poor team with the weakest of weak mentality. A poor manager with what looks like no fight or belief in himself. Haven't turned a game around yet with him that we have gone behind in. Too many injuries already. Have only played 1 of the top 6 and we've been beaten 6 times already. We haven't even gotten to the Christmas fixture pile up yet a period we have never performed well in.

Time to panic, too right.

It's difficult to argue with this unfortunately. 10 points from 10 games with that fixture list is nothing short of appalling. We're clearly not as good as we thought we were/should be based on the money spent, and repeatedly we appear fragile and directionless. Someone needs to come in and address this slide, in a big way.

From the 1st of December till the 1st of January I can only see us coming out with three points the way things are going.

I thought we played alright up until the 2-2 and the change in shape. The heads dropped after that and our away mentality kicked in. It happened at Newcastle 6 months ago. It will happen again.

28 games left and 13 of them against the big six and Leicester . On current form can anybody see much good from those games ? That leaves 15 games against the rest which on current form will yield 15 points . Time to panic.. absolutely ...!! Need to appoint a good manager and back room team from somewhere quickly. Not sure who or how but if we keep going as we are we are in big trouble .. !

I really do think he deserves to get two more years.

He beat gumaria 2-1 whilst in charge of estoril. We can not deny his talent. He just needs time to implement his style.

Being around the relegation zone isn't anything to be worrying about, not with silva in charge.
