Why would Howe want to leave Bournemouth?

Again, it depends how ambitious the club want to be. There appears to be a gap between their rhetoric and their actions. 'All mouth and no trousers' is oft the expression.

Howe will eventually leave Bournemouth for a top six club, I am certain of it. It's likely going to be Spurs when Poch leaves because I can see that coming very soon.

He's an excellent coach but he knows, and Bournemouth know, that he's somewhat restricted at that club. Their stadium holds 11,000 people and he's taken them from League One to mid table safety in the Premier League. He's reached a point now where's built a very strong team at Bournemouth with hardly any budget. A team that, if he were to leave, would still be safe in the top flight without him. Players like Ake, Brooks, Wilson, King, Cook, Fraser, Kelly, Billing are all good young Premier League players that could have a future with CL clubs. Even Stacey and Ramsdale have looked very good.

He can certainly take the group of players forward and push them into Europe via a cup perhaps, which would be an unreal achievement. But, for me, he's done as well as he can possibly do with that club, he's taken them as far as they can possibly go without a new stadium and sustained investment (which isn't likely). It's just a case of the club riding it out and the fans enjoying it at the highest level while it lasts because they are 100% punching above their weight.

An opportunity to manage a club like Everton, with a sizeable budget, bigger expectations and a bright future. It's a project many managers would buy into. Howe would be an excellent candidate - again, if the club are prepared to back up their ambition with action.

There isn't much I can disagree with there. If there is a vacancy soon, I think Howe will surely come into consideration. He is probably at the point where he would tenatively encourage it, particularly if an opportunity arises when he can leave Bournemouth on a relatively high note.

The only issue I have though is that I'd like anyone being thought of to have a good record at more than one club, purely for the added comfort in appointing someone who has shown they can cope at different clubs and perhaps under different regimes, structures, and leagues.

Howe to Everton sort of fits Moyes to United if you think about it. It wouldn't at all mean the same potential outcome but hindsight is wonderful and Moyes looked lost there practically from the outset.

It's just my hunch, but when the time comes, I think Brands will want to depart from the tried and failed model and therefore I think he may opt for someone outside the Premier League, and outside English football. Personally I think PL experience (the right sort that is, and Howe fits that bill) is an advantage but there will be a temptation for something "fresh" I feel and Brands probably has a pre-determined shortlist already in his head.

It doesn’t really mean anything but why does our list always look a state but when someone like Leicester or West Ham are changing their manager they have all mad boss names on there?

Because the bookies and media still see us for the most part as the club we were when we hired Moyes in 2002, hence why he’s top of the list on PP

Howe will never leave Bournemouth again, he’s pretty much set for life there unless they get taken over in the next 10-15 years. They are having a typical season so far, starting well but they will soon fall back to mid table

United could have appointed anyone after Ferguson, they were doomed to failure. Moyes was always going to fail there.

In fairness to him as well, Mourinho, Van Gaal and Solskjaer have gone there and found similar problems since - so it's not a club that's working at the minute, irrespective of the manager.

Moyes as a manager was on to a really good thing at Everton, we fit each other like a glove. The only similarity with Moyes then and Howe now is that both managers had hit a ceiling. Had Moyes then, had the investment that we have now, we'd have cracked that top 4 i'm certain of it. Same could be said of Howe now. But Moyes didn't then and Howe doesn't now.

I don't think he has what it takes to get Everton into Europe, His buys of certain Liverpool players for decent money raises eye brows but on the flip side Ake looks like a decent buy same for Billing.
His style of play doesn't impress me, Like they weren't even that good and beat us 3-1 but that was because we were god damn awful and quite frankly I'm sick of us hiring from these average PL teams that are certainly below Everton e.g Silva/Martinez. I want to go the European route this time.

Don't Bournemouth have one of the highest net spends in the league since they got promoted in 2015? This punching above their weight thing is a bit of a myth in all honesty. Yes they can only attract small crowds due to the stadium but they are still a well financed club.

Plus Howe's teams always do dreadful in cup competitions. And concede at least 3-4 everytime they play Liverpool so he can get in the bin for me,
