2019/20 Seamus Coleman

Players age, injuries happen and form can dip. Seamus set some seriously high standards which he isn't hitting anymore. Thing is, we've not had credible back up or competition for years. Same happened with Baines. Time to give Seamus a break, at the very least. May Sidibe will prove to be worse than Cuco, but worth a try.

If we're in the game of saying Coleman needs to be axed then so does Digne on the other side. There has been no difference in their performances this season. Especially yesterday.

Seriously have a word with yourself. Yes digne wasn’t great yesterday and last week. But he’s head and shoulders above Coleman, he was last year and will be again this year.

Do you think Coleman would get in the french team?

I'm just talking about what we've seen this season. Both have been average.

How many games until the manager realises this?
Seems to keep happening at Everton.
Players remain first choice not only beyond their peak, but right down the other side as well.
Other serious clubs don't piss about when a player has gone past his best, they're left behind. Should be what's best for the club, not the players.

Atrocious is a complete exaggeration.
You’re obviously a Coleman fan and with a name like dannyboy I wonder where you’re from.

Anyway, its my opinion and he has been shocking. And the system we play it relies on the full backs, digne can’t be great every week, but he’s not getting help from the other flank.

Even in his prime Coleman’s final ball/cross was very average. He’s always lacked composure in the final 3rd most of his crosses are smashed across the box in hope it hits something. But a few years ago his determination, drive to get in box and commit defenders, scoring a few goals. made up for his deficiencies. Unfortunately that side of his game is long gone and we are now left with a championship standard full back.
